Riaan van der Walt is a seasoned software professional with extensive experience in the development and maintenance of Point of Sale systems and e-commerce platforms. Currently serving as a Software Technical Lead at redPanda Software since January 2021, Riaan guides new developers while focusing on a Point of Sale system for Pick n Pay. Previous roles include Senior Software Engineer at Marketech, where Riaan customized and maintained PCMS Group's POS Software, and significant contributions to Kalahari.com as a Senior Java Developer, including the development of mobile applications. Additional experience encompasses Flex development for Moonlight42, vendor software development for Metropolitan Life, and web development roles at Chesscube.com and CityGuideSA. Riaan holds a degree in Information Systems Software Engineering from CTI Durbanville.
