Harvey J. Scott has had a diverse range of work experience. Harvey J. currently serves as the owner of Sunset Farms, a regenerative farm specializing in organic gourmet garlic, apples, and pigs. Prior to this, Harvey held several positions including Chief Development Officer at Redmond, Co-Founder of Ferly, and Co-Founder of Utah Endurance Sports. Harvey J. also worked as the Executive Vice President at Blendtec and as the Director of the International Trade and Diplomacy Office at the Utah Governor's Office of Economic Opportunity. Earlier in their career, Harvey was the Vice President of Corporate Development/M&A at Rolls-Royce and a Senior Commercial Attache at UK Trade & Investment (UKTI). Harvey J. also served as the Director of International Business Development at Rolls-Royce Energy Systems and worked as a Consultant for USAID.
Harvey J. Scott has a diverse education history. From 2004 to 2005, they attended Cornell University ILR School, where they pursued a dual degree in MILR/MBA, with a focus on Strategy and Organizational Management. Prior to this, from 2002 to 2004, they enrolled at Cornell University's MPA Program, specifically the Cornell Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy, to pursue a Master's in Public Administration. Harvey J. specialized in International Economics and Development during this period.
In their undergraduate years, Harvey attended Southern Virginia University from 1997 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, with a focus on General Studies and Humanities. During this time, they also obtained a Certificate in Mandarin Chinese from Liaoning Normal University in 1998-1999 to enhance their language skills.
Before entering the university, Harvey briefly attended Brigham Young University in 1996-1997, where they pursued Anthropology as their field of study, although they did not earn a degree.
