Sharon Blaettler began their career in 2002 as a PhD Graduate Student at the University of Basel. Sharon then moved on to a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at the University of Basel. In 2007, they joined Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, where they investigated nutrient signaling/transcriptional pathways regulating skeletal muscle and liver energy metabolism. In 2012, they joined GNF as a Senior Principal Scientist, where they held roles of increasing responsibility leading globally distributed teams of scientists on numerous projects supporting the preclinical pipeline. In 2022, they joined Redesign Science as the Director of Biology.
Sharon Blaettler completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Pharmacology from the University of Basel, Switzerland between 2002 and 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a B.Sc./M.Sc. in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry from the same institution between 1997 and 2002. Sharon then went on to pursue a Postgraduate Degree from Harvard Medical School between 2007 and 2012.
