Michael Partis currently serves as the Executive Director of the Red Hook Initiative, following a tenure as Executive Director of the Bronx Cooperative Development Initiative, where significant contributions included facilitating over $300,000 in business service contracts for minority-owned businesses and co-launching a Bronx Anchor Council. Partis has also held leadership roles in various organizations, such as Director of South Bronx Rising Together and Young Movement Inc., focusing on education and community development initiatives. As a researcher for the Bronx African American History Project at Fordham University, valuable oral histories were gathered from Bronx public housing residents. Partis's academic background includes a Doctoral Program in Anthropology from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and a Bachelor of Arts in African-American/Black Studies from Fordham University.
