Karen Vanderwater is a seasoned educational professional with over 31 years of experience in the Red Deer Public School District, serving as a teacher and school administrator. Currently working as the Learning Services Coordinator at Red Deer Public since September 2016, Karen has been instrumental in leading district-wide literacy practices. Prior to this role, Karen served as a principal and spent two years as a literacy coordinator. Additionally, Karen has experience as an instructor at Red Deer College from 2000 to 2014. Education credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Education from The University of Lethbridge and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Oregon. With a strong commitment to positively impacting the lives of children, Karen is embarking on a new journey as their current term concludes in June.
