Melissa Sampson began their work experience as an Assistant Account Manager at Campbell Mithun / Compass Point Media in 1998 and held this position until 2004. Melissa then transitioned to the role of Account & Office Manager from 2004 to 2009. In 2009, they became a Media Coordinator at the same company and held this position until 2013. From 2013 to 2019, Melissa worked as a Media Investments Associate at DLM Media Solutions. Currently, they are working as a Media Admin Traffic Supervisor at Red Circle Agency, a position they have held since 2019.

Melissa Sampson pursued their education journey chronologically, beginning at Minneapolis College from 1991 to 1993. During their time at Minneapolis College, they earned an Associate's degree in General Studies. Following this, Melissa went on to attend the University of Minnesota from 1993 to 1996, where they majored in Child Psychology and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree.
