Rachel Jackson, LMHC has a diverse range of work experience in the mental health field. Rachel most recently worked at Recovery Unplugged, where they held various roles such as Chief Operating Officer, Director of Compliance, Executive Director, and Administrator/Utilization Review Director. Prior to that, they worked at Dr. Scott Simon Fehr & Associates as a Therapist and co-facilitator for group therapy. Rachel also contributed to a Group Psychotherapy textbook and assisted in editing chapters. Rachel was a Primary Therapist/Assistant Clinical Director at LakeHaven Recovery Center and a MEGA Intervention & Prevention Therapist at Broward House, where they provided therapy to individuals with HIV+ or at risk for contracting HIV. In addition, they worked as a Teacher Assistant at Nova Southeastern University and a Mental Health Counselor at Lotus Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program. Rachel gained experience as an Intern Therapist at University Hospital of Tamarac-Pavilion, providing counseling to individuals with mental illnesses and substance-related disorders. Rachel started their career as a Residential Support Tech/Detox Assessment Coordinator at Drug Abuse Foundation Inc.
Rachel Jackson, LMHC graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University in 2010. Rachel then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor from Nova Southeastern University, which they completed in 2013. In December 2013, Rachel obtained their certification as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern from the Florida Department of Health. Rachel further expanded their certifications by becoming an HIV/AIDS Counselor & Tester, which they obtained from Florida Health in November 2014. Finally, Rachel acquired their license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor from the Florida Department of Health in January 2016.
