Raisa Karasik has extensive work experience in the field of data science, starting from their most recent position as Senior Data Scientist at Recorded Future. Prior to that, they worked as an Applied Scientist at Amazon Web Services for three years. Additionally, they served as a Senior Data Scientist at Sqrrl before joining Amazon. Raisa also has experience as an Insight Health Data Fellow at Insight Data Science, where they conducted in-depth analysis of user data and provided recommendations for product improvement. Raisa has demonstrated their expertise in various data analysis techniques such as logistic regression, linear regression, random forest, and SVM. Furthermore, Raisa has experience working independently, where they constructed a device to monitor infant sleep and collected and analyzed data using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). Raisa has also worked at BAE Systems as a Senior Research Engineer, where they developed graph algorithms and designed optimal data collection schemes. Raisa has a background in academia, having served as a Postdoc at Griffith University and as a Graduate student at UC Berkeley.

Raisa Karasik completed their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Physics from New York University, where they studied from 1998 to 2003. Following their undergraduate studies, Raisa pursued further education at the University of California, Berkeley. Raisa obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Science and Technology, with a specialization in Physics, completing their studies between 2003 and 2009.
