Mike Murto has over 30 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Mike started their career as a Product Development Engineer at ITM/Troy Technical Center, where they focused on the design and development of automotive transmission control assemblies and heavy gauge steel stampings. Mike then joined TRW Vehicle Safety Systems (VSSI), Inc. as a Platform Manager and Senior Product Development Engineer, taking on complete project responsibility for five vehicle restraint systems. Mike also worked at Huron St. Clair Div. of Masco Industries as a Senior Product Engineer and Program Manager, responsible for the design and development of wheel trim assemblies.

Mike Murto was also a Lead Engineer at American Sunroof Company, Inc., where they were responsible for the daily engineering activities of a Japanese transplant convertible project. Mike led the design and development of various parts and components, including the convertible topstack mechanism and quarter window system.

Before joining American Sunroof Company, Mike Murto was a Senior Product Engineer at Findlay Industries. In this role, they served as the Lead Engineer and Program Manager for a modular headliner system, overseeing engineering, design, and development for a Japanese customer.

Most recently, Mike Murto served as the Engineering Director at RECARO North America, where they led the engineering department and was responsible for various projects.
