Kevin Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in procurement and project management. Currently serving as the Materials Manager at REC Silicon since August 2023, Kevin oversees the procurement and warehousing of various materials and is responsible for supplier management and compliance with health, safety, and sustainability standards. Previously, as the Lead Strategic Buyer for North America at SGL Carbon from August 2019 to August 2023, Kevin focused on capital equipment and raw material sourcing, contract negotiations, and efficiency improvements. Kevin's earlier tenure at REC Silicon from November 2006 to July 2019 involved strategic planning and procurement as the Projects and Procurement Services Manager. Additionally, Kevin held a managerial position at Fluor from October 1992 to November 2006, where responsibilities included managing business operations for a division with significant annual revenues. Kevin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Corporate Finance from the UW Foster School of Business and also attended Louisiana State University.
