Sara Movahedi is an experienced microbiologist with a strong background in research and team leadership. Currently serving as Microbiology Manager at Synthomer plc since October 2016, Sara coordinates microbiology-related activities and provides scientific advice. In addition, since March 2014, Sara has been the Strain Development Team Leader at ReBio Technologies Limited, advancing research strategies focusing on biofuels and biochemicals. Prior experience includes leading a research team at TMO Renewables Ltd, where Sara specialized in optimizing processes for biofuel production, and research roles at prestigious institutions such as the University of Nottingham and University of Leeds, focusing on microbiological techniques and molecular characterizations. Sara holds a PhD in Phytopathology from King's College London, completed in 1990.
