Ai Funaki has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. They began their career at Bloomberg as a Broadcast Operations Channel Coordinator in 2000 and worked there until 2004. From 2005 to 2007, they worked at MTV Networks Australia as a Production Coordinator and Executive Assistant to the Executive Producer. In 2007, they joined The American Film Institute as a Sponsorship Manager. From 2008 to 2013, they worked at Fujitsu Glovia as a Senior Marcom Specialist and Executive Assistant to the CEO. They then moved on to Toyo Tire Holdings of Americas Inc. in 2013, where they served as a Senior Project Manager and Executive Assistant to the CEO until 2016. In 2017, they joined Ambry Genetics as a Senior Executive Assistant to the Chairman & CEO. Currently, they hold the position of Chief of Staff at REALM IDx, Inc., a healthcare company specializing in Integrated Diagnostics.

Ai Funaki has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communications and Japanese Studies from UC San Diego. Additionally, they attended Sophia University, where they studied Comparative Cultures.
