Susan Crabtree is a senior White House and national political correspondent for RealClearPolitics, with a focus on covering President Trump, their administration, and related national issues since January 2019. Prior to this role, Crabtree served as a senior writer for the Washington Free Beacon and worked as a White House Correspondent for the Washington Examiner from 2011 to 2017. Crabtree's extensive career includes positions such as senior editor and investigative reporter at The Hill, leadership reporter at Congressional Quarterly, Washington Correspondent for Variety, and reporter for Roll Call. Crabtree began the journalism career as a senior writer for Capital Style magazine and interned in the US Congress. Educationally, Crabtree holds a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism and has studied communication and political science at the University of Southern California.
