Mercedes de la Peña Contreras has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. Mercedes began their career as an English-Spanish Translator for The Mexican Healthy Products Summit in 2014. Later that year, they were an Assistant in Market Research and Entry Strategy for Diva International Inc., where they were responsible for consumer analysis and product positioning, presentation and negotiations with nationwide chains' buyers, and trade show coordination, attendee, and sales assistant. In 2017, they were a Purchasing Assistant for BayWa r.e. Distribución Solar/MX, where they managed new supplier partnerships and executed import customs processes and data analysis for inventory management. In 2018, they were a Global Corporate Services Intern for Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where they coordinated global procurement for SaaS activities, global real estate partnership management and legal reviews, and assisted in RFP management and negotiations. In 2019, they were a Business Development Manager for Ultumum Sales and Marketing Innovations Group Inc., where they excelled at customer, client, and retail partner management, and provided sales, strategy, and marketing consulting for market introduction and development of 5 international CPG brands. In 2020, Mercedes began working for LARVOL, first as an Account Executive, then as a Customer Success Manager, and finally as a Business Development Representative. In their Account Executive role, they were successful in client acquisition, management, and retainment of 56% of total active subscriptions, and met and exceeded their annual quota by 127% by the end of Q3. As a Customer Success Manager, they were responsible for managing 32 accounts, including 15 key and high-touchpoint accounts, and leveraged insights to improve product and customer experience. In their current roles, Mercedes is an Account Executive for Ready Room and a Customer Success Manager for IrisCX.

Mercedes de la Peña Contreras has a comprehensive education history. In 2011, they attended Choate Rosemary Hall for a Summer School Program. From 2014 to 2018, they completed a Bachelor of Commerce - BCom in International Business at Tecnológico de Monterrey. In 2017, they completed a Minor on Management of International Teams and Organizations at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. In 2021, they are currently enrolled in a Postgraduate Degree in Sports and Event Marketing at George Brown College. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Sell Better by JB Sales, World Education Services, and Coursera.
