Jan Erik Ehlert serves as the Head of the Cellular Pharmacology Team at Reaction Biology since September 2020, leading a team of scientists and technicians in the establishment and application of high-throughput screening assays for phenotypic screening, immuno-oncology, biomarker analysis, and kinase-specific cellular mechanisms. Prior to this role, Ehlert headed the Cellular Drug Discovery Team at ProQinase GmbH for two decades, where responsibilities included scientific consultation on anti-cancer drug discovery. Ehlert has also held positions as Group Leader in Drug Development and Senior Research Scientist in Target Identification, focusing on protein kinase activity and oncogenic targets. Earlier, Ehlert conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Michigan Medical School and Research Center Borstel, specializing in chemokine receptors and neutrophil-attracting chemokines, respectively. Ehlert earned a PhD in Immunology and a Diploma in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from Kiel University.
