Charlotte Booth-Rylett has a diverse work experience in the education sector. In 2000, they started their career as the Head of English at Clacton County High School. Later, from 2009 to 2011, they held the position of Director of the Arts College with an English Specialism at the same school. In 2012, Charlotte became the School Improvement Leader and Whole School Literacy Coordinator at Clacton County High School. Charlotte then joined St Helena School, Colchester in 2014 as the Assistant Head Teacher. During this time, they were also seconded to NEEEP and NEETSA partner schools as a Specialist Leader in Education. Currently, Charlotte is the Head of School at REAch2 Academy Trust, where they have been since 2015.
Charlotte Booth-Rylett completed their education at various institutions. Charlotte first attended Clacton County High School from 1988 to 1995, where they pursued their GCSEs and A Levels. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Essex from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained a BA Hons in Literature, focusing on literature, creative writing, and linguistics. Lastly, they attended the North East Essex Coastal Confederation, where they earned a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) in Teaching from 1998 to 1999.
