Jake DeGroot is a seasoned lighting designer and co-founder of Reach Progress PBC, with expertise spanning theatrical, architectural, corporate, event, television, and film lighting design. Since October 1995, Jake has operated Jake DeGroot Lighting Design as a freelance designer based in New York City. Previous experience includes roles as a Data Director for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress and Programmer at Blue Man Group, where responsibilities encompassed programming lighting and fulfilling various lighting needs. Jake served as Associate Lighting Designer at DBR, LLC., Product Manager for Occupy Wall Street, and Communications Secretary for the Carnegie Mellon University New York Drama Alumni Clan. Educationally, Jake is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, with studies completed between 2004 and 2008.
