Delia Chi has extensive experience in the aviation industry, with a focus on planning, sustainability, and consulting. Delia is currently serving as the Vice President of Planning and Sustainability at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, where they oversee various environmental projects and initiatives. Prior to this role, they founded and served as the Principal of AeroVision Designs, an aviation consulting company aimed at promoting human-centered design thinking and innovative solutions. Delia has also held positions at RS&H as a Senior Airport Consultant and at HNTB as an Aviation Planner, where they led airport master planning efforts and executed user research and insight development, respectively. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Portland State University and as an Aviation Planning Intern at the Port of Portland. Delia began their career as a Corporate Safety Coordinator at ABM Industries, where they focused on ensuring safety and health compliance within the company.
Delia Chi has a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Delia also holds a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Portland State University. In addition to their formal education, Delia has obtained several certifications, including Advanced Design Thinking, Selling Service Design with Confidence, Storytelling for Influence, Unlocking Creativity, Foundations in Design Thinking, From Ideas to Action, Designing a Business, Introduction to Human-Centered Design, Human-Centered Service Design, and Insights for Innovation. Delia is also a Certified Member (CM) of the American Association of Airport Executives. Delia has demonstrated a commitment to continuous learning and professional development through their various certifications and memberships.
