Vassilios Danginis

Vassilios Danginis has over 30 years of work experience in various roles related to quality control, reliability engineering, and failure analysis in the technology industry.

Vassilios started their career at Brookhaven National Laboratory in 1984 as a Research and Development Engineer, where they focused on the design and performance analysis of electrochemical cells for solar and photovoltaic applications. During this time, they presented research papers at the Electrochemical Society to improve the efficiency and applications of electrochemical cells.

In 1988, Danginis joined SMSC as the Director of Corporate Reliability Engineering and Failure Analysis. In this role, they managed quality and reliability programs for integrated circuit suppliers, establishing goals, coordinating projects, and maintaining budgets. Vassilios also had extensive communication within the organization, as well as customer and supplier interface.

In 2012, Danginis moved to Microchip Technology as a Senior Manager of Corporate Reliability Engineering and Failure Analysis. Vassilios directed a large team of managers, engineers, and technicians, supporting various product lines like PIC, USB, LAN, Memory, Power management, and Automotive. Their responsibilities included analyzing non-conforming materials from customers and suppliers.

Their most recent position was with R&D Altanova, where they served as the Vice President of Quality starting in 2017. In this role, they focused on delivering timely products, services, and operational practices with excellence. Vassilios was known for their strong leadership skills, development of innovative processes, creative problem-solving, and maintaining fruitful relationships with customers. Vassilios also holds a Master of Science degree in Electrochemistry/Materials Science from the same institution. Additionally, they have a Ph.D. in Electrochemical Engineering from SUNY/WU.
