Esmeralda Thornton is an experienced housing and consumer education professional with a career spanning various roles in the housing sector. Currently serving as the Housing and Consumer Education Center Manager at RCAP Solutions, Inc. since December 2015, Esmeralda oversees a wide array of services including housing counseling, financial assistance programs, and workshops aimed at addressing diverse housing challenges. Prior experience includes working as a CRA Mortgage Consultant at First Niagara Bank, where Esmeralda focused on residential mortgage needs, and as the Director for NeighborWorks HomeOwnership of Central MA, where leadership involved developing comprehensive support for homebuyers. Earlier roles as a Certified Housing Counselor at Co-opportunity, Inc. and a Housing Specialist at Catholic Charities showcased a commitment to enhancing housing programs and supporting individuals facing housing issues.
