Brett Thorne has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Brett started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Sr. Associate in 1989. In 1994, they joined RBC Wealth Management as a Sr. Regulatory and Credit Analyst, eventually moving up to Finance Manager and Manager of Operations Control. In 2007, Brett transitioned to RBC Clearing & Custody, where they held various leadership roles, including COO and Head of RBC Correspondent Services and RBC Advisor Services. Most recently, they became the President of RBC Clearing & Custody in March 2021.

Brett Thorne earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa from 1984 to 1989. Brett then went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance and Financial Management Services from the University of St. Thomas between 1998 and 2003.
