James Titchener is a Senior Machine Learning Research Engineer at Raytheon UK since April 2023, contributing to the Strategic Research Group. Prior to this, James served as Principal Scientist at QLM Technology Ltd from January 2019 to April 2023, and as a QTEC fellow at the University of Bristol, focusing on quantum technology business development from October 2017 to January 2019. James conducted research on integrated quantum photonics during a postdoctoral role at The Australian National University from June 2013 to October 2017, where James also completed a PhD in Physics. Additional experience includes a visiting researcher position at Friedrich Schiller University Jena in 2016, supported by the Erasmus Mundus NANOPHI project, and a role as Vice-President of the Student Chapter at The Optical Society from January 2015 to March 2016. James holds a Bachelor's degree (Hons. first class) in Physics from the University of Otago (2009-2012).
