Victor Mikhalev is a Technical Team Lead at RaySearch Laboratories, responsible for the proton functionality in the RayStation treatment planning system for radiotherapy since September 2018. Mikhalev leads a cross-functional team that includes physicists, application developers, and testers, and has a background in developing advanced software related to proton dose engines and treatment planning. Prior to this role, Mikhalev was a PhD student at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where contributions were made to the PoGOLite and PoGO+ balloon-borne X-ray telescope projects, resulting in publications in international peer-reviewed journals. Mikhalev's earlier experience includes tutoring physics and mathematics to high school students at Lanterna Education. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Astroparticle Physics and multiple degrees in Engineering Physics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, as well as an exchange program at ETH Zürich.
