Mahmoud Omar has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Mahmoud began their career as a trainee for the Ministry of Communications and Information, where they completed a business simulation IT training program and earned various certifications. Mahmoud then worked as a System and Network Support Engineer at the Central Agency for Public Mobilization And Statistics before joining Orascom Technology Solutions as a System Support Engineer. Mahmoud later moved to Orascom Telecom, where they served as a System Support Engineer before transitioning to Telecom Egypt as a Microsoft Senior System Engineer. Mahmoud then joined Raya as an IT Senior System Administrator before taking on various roles within the company, including IT Specialist System Engineer, IT Supervisor, IT Section Head, IT Service Delivery Manager, and Service Delivery and Support Manager at Raya Data Center. Throughout their career, Mahmoud has gained experience in managing and administering various IT systems and services, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, and more.

Mahmoud Omar completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Communication & Electronics from the Shoubra Faculty of Engineering Benha Branch of Zagazig University, where they studied from 2000 to 2005.
