Patrick Dronsky

President, North America at Raute

Patrick Dronsky has extensive work experience in the engineering and project management field. Patrick currently holds the position of President, North America at Raute Oyj since August 2020. Prior to this, they served as Vice President, Engineering & Project Management (North America) at the same company starting from January 2019.

Before joining Raute Oyj, Patrick worked at Amec Foster Wheeler from 2008 to 2018. During this time, they held various roles including Engineering Manager and Project Manager. Patrick was responsible for managing engineering performance and product at Neves Corvo mine in Portugal and was also involved in the Ekati Diamond expansion project. Patrick also served as the Manager of the Mechanical and Material Handling departments and played a key role in material handling projects for mining operations, including potash mines in Canada.

Prior to their tenure at Amec Foster Wheeler, Patrick worked at Westmill Industries as the General Manager from 2002 to 2008. In this role, they oversaw the design and rebuilds of veneer dryers for the plywood/veneer industry and managed engineering projects.

Patrick began their career at Raute Oyj in 1992 as a Mechanical Engineer. During their time there, they served in various roles including Project Manager, Product Manager (Drying), and Mechanical Lead. Patrick was involved in designing conveyors, dryers, feeders, and other equipment used in wood product industries. Notable projects they worked on include the construction of a jet veneer dryer in Richmond, BC, and a veneer composing and stacking system for Hood Industries in Mississippi, USA.

Patrick Dronsky obtained a B.A.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, which they attended from 1988 to 1992. Patrick also attended Vancouver College Secondary, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Professional Engineer (PE) from both Engineers and Geoscientists BC and the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration.
