Ramkumar Modukuri, Ph.D., currently holds the position of Scientist II at Ratio Therapeutics since October 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Staff Scientist at Baylor College of Medicine from January 2019 to December 2023, where responsibilities involved synthesizing and characterizing small molecules and conducting structure-activity relationship studies for lead optimization. Ramkumar has notable expertise in the purification of compounds and the development of analytical methods to ensure the quality and efficacy of drug substances. A Postdoctoral Associate at The Scripps Research Institute and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Calibr previously, Ramkumar contributed to drug discovery efforts, including the design and synthesis of compounds for innovative therapies. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Synthetic/Medicinal Chemistry from the CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute and additional degrees in Organic Chemistry and Bachelor’s in Science. Patents filed include notable work on cGAS STING activators.
