Noel Monks has extensive experience in the field of preclinical biology and pharmacology. Most recently, they served as the Head of Biology at Ratio Therapeutics. Prior to this, they worked as the Senior Director of Preclinical Biology and Pharmacology at NeuBase Therapeutics, where they led the preclinical strategy and direction of disease programs in myotonic dystrophy type 1, Huntington's disease, and oncology. Noel also held the position of Associate Director at AstraZeneca, where they served as the program lead on an early stage large molecule pipeline program and conducted in vivo pharmacology evaluations. Before that, they worked as a Senior Scientist and In Vivo Pharmacology Lead at MedImmune, focusing on antibody drug conjugates, immune oncology, and cancer stem cell antibody therapeutics. Additionally, they have held research positions at Naprogenix, Inc., Van Andel Institute, University of Kentucky, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Universidade Luterana do Brasil, where they conducted various research projects in the field of oncology and drug development.
Noel Monks obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Honours in Applied Biology from Liverpool John Moores University from 1991 to 1995. Following that, from 1995 to 1999, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cancer Pharmacology and Drug Development at Newcastle University.
