Simon Irwin has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Simon started their career at Unibol Ltd as a Software Developer from December 1996 to May 2000. Simon then worked at AePONA as a Senior Software Engineer from 2000 to 2002. Simon joined California Software in 2003 as a Software Developer and moved to Openwave Systems in 2005, where they served as a Principal Software Engineer until October 2011. At ExamTime, Simon worked as a Senior Product Engineer, focusing on web development using Ruby on Rails and the automation of database migration from SQLServer to MySQL/ActiveRecord. Simon joined Aepona in December 2012 as a Senior Engineer and later joined Openwave Mobility as a Principal Software Engineer in March 2013. Currently, Simon works at Rapid7, where they initially served as a Senior Engineer from April 2015. Simon was promoted to Manager, Platform Delivery in March 2017.

Simon Irwin attended Queen's University Belfast from 1992 to 1996, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Industrial Management. During the same time period, they also pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science and Applications at the same university.
