Roi Hakanen serves as Legal Counsel and Manager at Rantalainen Oy since January 2023, focusing on M&A and tax-related assignments, including due diligence and corporate restructurings. Previously, Roi was a Senior Advisor in the International Tax & Transaction Services team at EY from August 2021 to January 2023, managing international tax due diligence and corporate restructuring projects. Before EY, Roi worked at KPMG Finland in various roles, including Advisor in the Business Tax and People Services teams, where responsibilities encompassed M&A, corporate restructuring, and individual taxation. Early career experience includes roles as a Tax Clerk at the Finnish Tax Administration, with responsibilities in personal taxation. Roi is currently pursuing a Doctor of Law degree specializing in Tax Law at the University of Helsinki, having also earned Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Law and completed the bar examination in 2019.
