Rafał Hotloś has a diverse work experience starting from 2006. Rafał began their career at Nokia Siemens Networks, where they held various roles including Competitor Intelligence Specialist and Software Project Manager. In 2011, they joined nomtek as a Developer before moving to SMT Software as a Java developer. In 2012, they returned to nomtek as a Mobile Software Developer and later transitioned to SMT Software as a Mobile Software Developer. From 2014 to 2018, Rafał worked at Clevertech as an iOS/Node.js Developer, leading the development of iOS apps and supporting server-side development. In 2018, they joined LocusLabs, Inc. as a Lead iOS Developer. In 2021, they moved to Google as a Senior Software Engineer, and in 2022, they joined Range in the same role.

Rafał Hotloś attended the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology from 1997 to 2002, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Mathematics. Rafał then continued their education at the same university from 2000 to 2005, studying Computer Science, although it is not mentioned whether they obtained a degree in this field. In addition to their formal education, Rafał also obtained several certifications, including a React Nanodegree Program from Udacity in January 2018. Rafał also completed various online courses, such as Machine Learning, Control of Mobile Robots, Probabilistic Graphical Models 1: Representation, and Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach, all from Coursera Course Certificates in 2016. Furthermore, they completed courses like Understanding Einstein: The Special Theory of Relativity and Functional Programming Principles in Scala in 2013, and Algorithms: Design and Analysis, Part 1 in 2013 as well.
