Adejare Atanda, DMD, DrPH, MPH, currently serves as a Senior Policy Researcher at RAND, focusing on AI and biosecurity from August 2024. Concurrently, Adejare Atanda is a member of the Editorial Board at Population Medicine and has recently been appointed as Co-Chair of the Public Health Data and IT Workgroup for the Maryland Commission on Public Health, where responsibilities include technology assessments for public health capabilities. Previous experience includes roles as a Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, managing critical portfolios related to infectious diseases and biodefense, and a Fellowship in the Emerging Leaders in Biosecurity Initiative at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security. Additional leadership experience includes serving as Program Director for Ending Pandemics and holding positions at the National Institutes of Health. Adejare Atanda's educational background includes a Doctorate in Public Health from Morgan State University and a Master's in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.
