Adejare Atanda, DMD, DrPH, MPH, currently serves as a Senior Policy Researcher at RAND, focusing on AI and biosecurity from August 2024. Concurrently, Adejare Atanda is a member of the Editorial Board at Population Medicine and has recently been appointed as Co-Chair of the Public Health Data and IT Workgroup for the Maryland Commission on Public Health, where responsibilities include technology assessments for public health capabilities. Previous experience includes roles as a Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, managing critical portfolios related to infectious diseases and biodefense, and a Fellowship in the Emerging Leaders in Biosecurity Initiative at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security.
