Sinu Paul has a diverse work experience in bioinformatics and data science.

Sinu began their career as a Teaching Assistant at the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in 2004 and worked there until 2005.

From 2005 to 2006, they were a Research Fellow at the Kerala State Biodiversity Board, where they documented biodiversity and developed a fauna database.

In 2006, Sinu joined Kent State University as a Graduate Research Fellow, focusing on evolutionary genomic analyses, data mining, and association rule mining. Sinu ended their term in 2012.

At the La Jolla Institute for Immunology, Sinu worked as a Bioinformatics Postdoctoral Fellow from 2012 to 2015.
