About the Role

As the product leader owning Ramp's API & Data Products function, you will define and evolve our end-to-end API vision, strategy and execution by leading a core team of engineers and designers to build amazing products for our broader development community. We’re looking for someone who can partner and collaborate across various internal teams, has a deep understanding of our customers and technology, and deliver developer-facing products to enable external teams to build exciting new products that connect to the Ramp platform. 

*Please note that this Product Management role will require you to be comfortable with working in-person at our NYC HQ (located near Union Square) at least 2 days/week*

What You’ll Do

  • Own the API product roadmap, focusing on enabling external developers to integrate with the Ramp platform to share data, leverage Ramp’s unique capabilities and support new businesses
  • Evangelize an API-first approach within Ramp so that new features are available through our API on launch
  • Help Ramp engage directly with the development community to encourage and incentivize external developers
  • Manage and lead that streamlining of our developer-facing documentation and materials
  • Leverage data and customer feedback to constantly iterate and evolve product offerings
  • Contribute to the vision, strategy, and processes that allow Ramp to build an ecosystem of external product partners

What You Need

  • BA/BS in a technical or analytical field
  • Minimum of either:
    • 5 years of product management experience
    • 3 years of product management experience and 1+ year of experience as an engineer or data (applied) scientist
  • Experience building technical products from ideation to launch
  • Deep understanding and passion for systems and APIs
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence small teams of engineers towards a common goal
  • Experience evaluating product decisions and prioritization trade-offs, leveraging large datasets to make data-driven product decisions, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders and large cross-functional teams 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation

  • The annual salary/OTE range for the target level for this role is $174,250-$205,000 + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
