Don Cooper, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of medical sciences and neurogenetics. Don is currently working as the Director of the Medical Sciences Division at Ramos Law, where their expertise in FDA and CDC regulations helps provide legal counsel and expert consulting to clients. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Science Officer at Neuroganics, specializing in drug and medical device manufacturing for the treatment of epilepsy and neuro-inflammation. Don is also the Founder/Chairman of Mobile Assay Inc, a company funded by a Gates Grand Challenge Explorations grant that focuses on developing mobile device platforms for diagnostic purposes. Additionally, they founded Real Time Diagnostics Ventures INC and has held professorial positions at the University of Mauritius and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Throughout their career, Don has conducted research and utilized various tools to investigate synaptic and intrinsic plasticity related to psychiatric disorders like addiction and depression/anxiety.
Don Cooper Ph.D. obtained their Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, where they studied from 1994 to 2000. Following this, they pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Neurobiology and Neurosciences at Northwestern University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004.
