Gilbert Goodwill's work experience began in 1992 as a Scientific Programmer at Abratech Corporation. Gilbert then worked as a Software Engineering Instructor at Wind River from 1999 to 2000. From 2000 to 2003, they held the positions of Senior Application Engineer and Member of Technical Staff at Wind River. Next, they worked at Airgo Networks as a Senior Software Engineer and later as the MAC Software Manager from 2003 to 2006. Gilbert then joined Devicescape as a Device Software Architect from 2006 to 2008. Following that, they worked at Cryptography Research as a Senior Principal Engineer from 2008 to 2011. Since 2011, they have been with Rambus where they initially served as a Senior Principal Engineer and DPA Team Lead. Gilbert then became a Senior Engineering Manager and currently holds the position of a Technical Director, Engineering.

Gilbert Goodwill studied Mathematics at the University of California, Santa Cruz from 1987 to 1991, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree.
