Pedro Alvarez is currently serving as Europe Head of Risk - CRO at Rakuten since June 2018. Prior to this role, Pedro held the position of Enterprise Risk Director at Santander UK from March 2009 to May 2018. With a background as Senior Economist at BBVA, Economist at Bank of England, Lecturer at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and Research Fellow at Banco de Espa?a, Pedro brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to their current position. Pedro holds a Master's degree in Finance from IE Business School, a Master's degree in Computer Science from Universidad Nacional de Educaci¨®n a Distancia - U.N.E.D., and a Doctorate in Economics from Universitat Aut¨°noma de Barcelona.
