Tarek El-Sawy is a highly experienced medical professional with a focus on ophthalmology and oculoplastic surgery. Currently serving as a Partner and Advisor at Raiven Capital since 2018, Tarek also holds the position of Oculoplastic Surgeon at Spectrum Eye Physicians and acts as a Consultant for BioInspire Technologies. Tarek has been affiliated with Stanford University as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology since 2012. Prior clinical experiences include positions as a Visiting Oculplastics Fellow at Texas Oculplastic Consultants and an Oculoplastics Fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Tarek completed residency training in Ophthalmology at Columbia University Medical Center and began medical training following the attainment of a Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Philosophy in Immunology degrees from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Tarek's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Philosophy from William & Mary.
