Alexander Floyd Marshall

Lead Cyber Security Engineer at Raft

Alexander Floyd Marshall has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Alexander began their career as the Worship Director, Wilderness Guide, and Counselor-in-Training Director at The Barbara C. Harris Camp and Conference Center, where they revitalized the music program and established unique liturgical patterns. Alexander then served as the Associate Pastor for Youth and Children's Ministries at Saugatuck Congregational Church, leading mission trips and revising safe church policies. Alexander also worked as an Election Technician for the Rhode Island Board of Elections, ensuring smooth operation and reporting of vote totals. Alexander further utilized their skills as the Transitional Director of Children and Youth Ministries at the United Congregational Church of Little Compton, RI, expanding the church's reach through a podcast and implementing technology upgrades. Alexander then founded Soren LLC, a web and IT consulting company focused on helping nonprofits and churches establish technology strategies. In this role, they achieved a significant return on investment and increased margins through automation. Alexander has also been involved with the CNCF as a Security Technical Advisory Group Member. Most recently, Alexander has held cyber security roles at Kessel Run and Raft, where they have contributed as both a Cyber Security Engineer and a Lead Cyber Security Engineer, leading technical teams and acting as a liaison between security and other departments.

Alexander Floyd Marshall has a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree in Divinity from Yale Divinity School, which they obtained from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southeastern Bible College from 2007 to 2010, specializing in Bible and Theology as well as Philosophy. In addition to their academic achievements, Alexander also holds certifications such as Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America, which was obtained in December 2006, and CompTIA Security+ from CompTIA, obtained in November 2020.
