Van Bui has a diverse work experience history. They began their career as an intern at Radiant Health Centers in 2017. In 2018, Van worked as a Hostess at Din Tai Fung Restaurant Group and as a Retail Sales Associate at adidas. They also gained experience as an Intern at Kaiser Permanente. In 2019, Van worked as a Main Front Office Desk and Billing/Back Office Assistant at BodyLogicMD. Van then transitioned to the role of Operations Staff Building Lead at UCI Student Center & Event Services. In 2020, Van joined Radiology Partners as an RCM Revenue Specialist in Payor Contracting, and later took on roles as an RCM Revenue Specialist and RCM Analyst in Contract Variance.

Van Bui attended UC Irvine from 2014 to 2018. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Public Health.
