Dawana Alix has a range of work experience in the healthcare field. Dawana started their career as a Medicaid/Medicare Biller at CHRISTUS HEALTH, where they processed claims, verified insurance coverage, and reconciled payments. Dawana later became a Financial Accountant and Team Lead, responsible for tracking Medicaid denials and implementing policies to reduce rejections.

Alix then worked as a Report Analyst at HPA ST JOSEPH MEDICAL CENTER, where they developed and provided financial reports, monitored expenses, and ensured compliance with budgets. Dawana also served as a PBS Analyst/Team Lead at MD ANDERSON CANCER CENTER, where they processed claims, resolved billing errors, and ensured accurate accounting of charges.
