Jess Boyd started their work experience in 2012 at East Tennessee Children's Hospital as a Community Benefits Specialist. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Communications Specialist in the same organization. In 2017, they moved to TeamHealth, where they initially held the role of Communications Specialist until 2019, when they were promoted to Communications Manager. In September 2020, they joined Radiology Partners as their Communications Manager, where they are currently employed.

Jess Boyd received a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Electronic Media from the University of Tennessee, where they studied from 2005 to 2009.
