Nick Tholen has had a varied work experience. In 2019, they worked as a Network Technician at Amcomm Telecommunications Inc. In 2020, they were an Instructional Aide for ENGR 100 400/420 at the University of Michigan, where they instructed lab sections, held virtual office hours, graded homework and lab submissions, and participated in weekly staff meetings. Nick also wrote controls questions on PID control and tuning for the midterm in 400. In 2021, Nick was an Engineering Intern at NextEra Energy, Inc., where they worked on emergent, short term, and hands-on projects, and used vibrational analysis to diagnose problems with large scale pumps, motors, and turbines. Nick also worked as an Instructional Aide for ME 495 at the University of Michigan. Currently, they are a Mechanical Engineering Consultant and an Intern at Radiant.

Nick Tholen attended the University of Michigan from 2018 to 2021, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Nick then continued their studies at the University of Michigan from 2022 to 2023, earning a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
