Kristie Simpson's work experience starts with their current position as a Senior Firmware Engineer at Radiant Vision Systems, which they started in 2022.

Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Ascent Vision Technologies (AVT) from 2021 to 2022. In this role, they researched logic design, assisted in motor control design, and developed firmware for the next generation of a Power Distribution Unit (PDU).

From 2010 to 2021, Kristie worked at Advanced Electronic Designs as a Firmware Engineer. Here, they collaborated with hardware and software teams, implemented laser measurement systems, and designed a biological monitoring system.

Before that, they worked at Dynojet Research, Inc. in various roles. From 2007 to 2009, they served as a Software Department Manager, providing structure and direction to the team. From 2006 to 2007, they were a Technical Lead, training software engineers and collaborating with electrical engineers. From 2001 to 2006, they were a Software Engineer, developing interfaces and updating software tuning processes.

Their earliest work experience was as a Computer Programmer at the Applied Physics Institute from 2000 to 2001, where they assisted in software design and documentation.

Kristie Simpson completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Western Kentucky University between 1997 and 2001. Kristie then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman from 2002 to 2008.
