Steven Ward currently serves as Co-Chair of the Sacramento KnowledgeNet Chapter for the International Association of Privacy Professionals, facilitating networking and educational opportunities in data protection and privacy. As a Data Privacy and Security Fellow at the R Street Institute, Steven conducts research and engages in public speaking about data security and privacy issues. Steven is also the Managing Partner at CSW VENTURES, LLC, leading strategic initiatives in real estate investment with a focus on short-term rentals. Previous experience includes a legal externship at the Federal Trade Commission, a legal internship at SpeedLegal, and various roles at the Sutter County Sheriff's Office, including Computer Forensic Examiner, Detective, and Patrol Officer. Steven holds a Bachelor's degree from California State University, Los Angeles, and has graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco.
