Michael Martin has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Michael is the Founder and CEO of r.Cup, a company that focuses on eliminating single-use plastic waste at live events through a rentable, reusable cup. Michael founded and served as CEO of Effect Partners, a Minneapolis-based company that combines sustainability, culture, and business to create campaigns for positive social impact. Michael also founded and served as President of MusicMatters. Prior to these ventures, they held the position of Executive Director at Concerts For the Environment. Michael also has corporate experience, having worked as a Vice President at Citi, Assistant Vice President at American Express, and First Scholar at First National Bank of Chicago.
Michael Martin completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Psychology from Carroll University, which they attended from 1978 to 1982. Later, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, specializing in Marketing, Finance, and International Business, from 1995 to 1997.
