John-Arne Stokkan has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. John-Arne started their career as a Technical Engineer at Norsk Hydro, Philips Petroleum Company, and Elf. John-Arne then worked as a Petroleum Engineer at Petec Software and Services, where they specialized in reservoir modeling, programming, and data visualization.

Following that, Stokkan held various technical and project management roles at Dynea Oilfield Chemicals, M-I Production Chemicals Bergen, and M-I Production Chemicals Stavanger, where they focused on flow assurance, scale control, and chemical contracts. John-Arne led teams, developed scale inhibitors, supervised laboratory testing, and set up analytical services and scale testing facilities.

John-Arne later joined M-I SWACO as a Technical Project Manager, where they managed global technical support for flow assurance and scale control. John-Arne also coordinated technical service work and led projects on water shut-off technologies.

Stokkan then transitioned to Schlumberger, where they took on roles such as Project Manager, Product Line Manager, and Product Manager. John-Arne was responsible for the design, development, and implementation of chemical data management solutions. John-Arne led global strategies, managed backlogs, and utilized various data analytics and visualization tools.

After Schlumberger, they worked at Exebenus as a Principal Advisor, focusing on optimized oil and gas production through data management and visualization. John-Arne also explored concepts using IBM Watson Analytics and Discovery for cognitive data analysis and text recognition.

Currently, Stokkan is working as a Product Manager at Quorum Software. John-Arne is responsible for product management, solution design, business analysis, and strategy for EC Chemistry and EC Environmental. John-Arne leads a competent development team and manages the roadmap and backlog for Energy Components.

Throughout their career, Stokkan has demonstrated their expertise in product management, project management, business analysis, and solution design within the oil and gas industry.

John-Arne Stokkan completed their education as follows:

- From 1996 to 1999, they pursued a Master's Degree in Physical Chemistry, Reservoir Chemistry, and Biochemistry at the University of Bergen (UiB).

- John-Arne obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Stavanger, where they studied from 1992 to 1995.

- Prior to their university studies, John-Arne Stokkan earned a Secondary School Diploma with a focus on Accounting and Finance from Svolvær Videregående skole, where they attended from 1987 to 1990.

In addition to their academic qualifications, John-Arne Stokkan has obtained various certifications, including:

- Writing White Papers from LinkedIn in January 2023.

- PMC Level V, Pragmatic Certified Product Manager, PMC Level III, PMC Level IV, PMC Level I, and PMC Level II from Pragmatic Institute in different months of 2022 and 2022.
