Wonryong Ryou has work experience as a Machine Learning Engineer at Quora since September 2021. Previously, they worked as a Student Research Assistant at ETH Zürich from February 2019 to September 2020, where they designed and implemented frameworks for robustness certification of recurrent neural networks, debugged and extended codebases, and built a PyTorch system. Wonryong also interned at Seoul National University from July 2017 to December 2017, where they participated in computational social science studies, designed and implemented pipelines, and automated the generation of formal reports. Additionally, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Seoul National University from October 2016 to February 2017, contributing to a government-aided project on machine-generated earthquake alerts. Wonryong also has experience as a Research Commissioner at KETI in 2014. Prior to that, they worked as a SW/Mobile Developer at sGen Club from August 2011 to July 2013, and as a High School Intern at KIST in July 2011, where they conducted research and applied genetic algorithms.

Wonryong Ryou completed their Master of Science degree in Data Science from ETH Zürich from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering, as well as Information Science and Culture from Seoul National University between 2012 and 2018. Their education journey began at Seoul Science High School from 2009 to 2012.
