Tim Sawicki has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Tim began their career as a Math Lab Facility Tutor at UNC Asheville in 2010. In 2013, they interned as a Math Teacher at Asheville High School. Tim then worked as a Winery Associate at The Biltmore Company, where they provided personalized wine tasting experiences and achieved multiple sales records.

In 2016, Tim joined Lenovo as a Customer Insights and Quality Analyst through a summer internship, which later transitioned into a part-time and full-time contracted position. Tim worked independently, conducting data analysis and reporting with minimal managerial oversight.

From 2017 to 2018, Tim worked as a Data Scientist at UltraLinq Healthcare Solutions, Inc. Tim developed neural networks using Python's TensorFlow package and utilized machine learning techniques to automate cardiac measurements and summarize doctor-written patient summaries.

Tim's work experience in the software engineering field includes roles at Red Hat and Quix. At Red Hat, they held multiple positions, including Senior Software Engineer, Team Lead, and Principal Software Engineer. Tim contributed to the development of a Python-based Kafka client library called fluvii and led the migration to Red Hat's managed Kafka service. Tim also played a key role in infrastructure improvement, coding standards development, and real-time data processing using Kafka.

In 2023, Tim joined Quix as a Python SDK Engineer, where they are currently involved in the development of software development kits. Overall, Tim possesses a strong background in software engineering, data science, and customer-focused roles.

Tim Sawicki earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina Asheville, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in Operations Research at North Carolina State University from 2015 to 2016.
