Tohru Takashima has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tohru began their career in 1995 as a Senior 3D/2D Artist at iQ Productions/Mediasplunge. Tohru then went on to co-found Euforia Cafe in 1998, a concept cafe that combined a smoothie cafe and a florist. In the same year, they also joined Olive 1:1 as a 3D Visualization Artist. In 1999, they worked as a Digital Graphic Designer at Zebware. From 2002 to 2005, they served as a Graphic Design Consultant at Acolyte LED, and from 2005 to 2008, they worked in a similar role at The National September 11 Memorial & Museum. In 2008, they joined SonicBoom as a Senior Artist, where they designed UI, content graphics, and concept art for mobile phone and social networking games and applications. Their notable projects during this time included working on high-profile IPs such as Starz Network's "Spartacus, Blood & Sand" and HBO's "True Blood" and "Sex in the City". In 2012, Tohru joined Goldman Sachs as a Digital Designer, leading UI design for a web-based/mobile proprietary trading platform. Tohru was also responsible for creating internal presentation and support graphics assets. After their tenure at Goldman Sachs, they worked as a Digital Graphic Design Consultant for various companies, including being an Interactive Graphics Production Artist for Apple, Inc. in Cupertino via Hogarth WW. In 2019, they joined Quidd as a Content Designer.
Tohru Takashima pursued their undergraduate education from 1992 to 2004 at Pratt Institute, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Computer Graphics.
