Somayya M. has a strong background in research and has worked primarily in the biotechnology industry. They started their career at Autolus Ltd. in 2017 as a Research Technician and then progressed to the role of Research Associate in February 2019. They later became a Senior Research Associate in January 2020 and held this position until January 2021. In 2021, Somayya M. joined Quell Therapeutics as a Research Associate and worked there until October of the same year. Currently, they are working at Quell Therapeutics as a Senior Research Associate starting from July 2022.

Somayya M. began their education at Havering Sixth Form College in 2010, where they obtained their A-Level qualification. Somayya then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry at the University of Westminster between 2012 and 2015. Following this, Somayya went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Cancer and Molecular and Cellular Biology at Queen Mary University of London from 2015 to 2016.
